By Tamera, on November 7th, 2007 What I don’t like about the Luxor
No in room safes Only one trash can in the room The reception on the TV sucks There is no place in the shower to put my foot so I can shave my legs There is a “vanity” but there is no light It is so dark in the room (even with every light on) There isn’t a desk The towels are not soft Fridgerator cost $15 a day There are broken things in the room; bottom drawer of dresser doesn’t open well, shower door not easy to operate, outlet doesn’t work

By Tamera, on November 7th, 2007 I have spent the entire morning working on photos. You will see that I have uploaded a chunk of black and white (digital IR) photos from the Valley of Fire. I also fixed a few from dinner last night. Too bad there are still some that need work. ๐ I am really hungry, better go get my snack. After that I am not sure what I will do.
By Tamera, on November 7th, 2007 OK, here it comes…. the drunken post, not so much drunken as tipsy. Dinner tonight, I picked Battista’s. This was recommended by my student (BOB thank you) earlier this year but in June we found out the place was closed at lunch. It was AWESOME!!!! You choose soup (minestrone) or salad with Italian dressing, they bring you bread, and RED or WHITE wine. The menu on the wall looks much like the one in the phone book. OMG good food. Then there was this Little old man that played “back home again in Indiana”… Damn IT I gave him five bucks. So my dinner, a ribeye steak (klt said it . . . → Read More: 12:32 AM WED
By Tamera, on November 6th, 2007 So I took of on a new adventure. You know the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign, well when I drove past it they were doing a photo shoot, there were a few dames in swim suits and some guy dressed as a pink bunny. A little further down the road I get to run along side the airport and one of the run ways. It was landing traffic and it was AWESOME. I plan on taking Kerry there this week, they have a parking place so you can sit and watch. There were many there taking pictures. Now I am on the road where Wally world is, whoo hoo . . . → Read More: 2:00 pm Back from Wal*Mart
By Tamera, on November 6th, 2007 Well I have done work work for a little over 3 hours this morning. I must say that when I ask more than one time “If anything has changed” and no one responds only to find that a change was made this morning that broke Quality Center it really pisses me off. I really want to hit someone with a 2×4 and ask if they can read, or do they even know how to do their job. I mean come on all ready, just sit there quiet and pretend you know of nothing that is happening. GEEZE!
And I have uploaded some of the pictures from yesterday to the flickr . . . → Read More: 11:14 am Local Tuesday
By Tamera, on November 6th, 2007 Well beleive it or not we were up early, like 6:30 am early. So we pecked at the computers for an hour then got ready for our big day. We stopped last night at Wal*Mart to get provisions for the day, sub sandwiches and roll ups. Excellent! Off we went, destination The Valley of Fire. The oldes National Park in Nevada, dedicated once in 1934 and again in 1935. It was just amazing. We saw just about everything but we did leave a few things for the next time. I have a metric ton of pictures to go through tonight. I fed one of the ground squirels peices of my . . . → Read More: Monday — The whole day
By Tamera, on November 5th, 2007 OMG OMG OMG CHRIS ANGEL was in the booth behind us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok now that’s out of the way. Black Angus steak house for the win. We went here for dinner back in June. I discovered their website and signed up for their “rewards” card. Just before we left they sent me a coupon, God knows how much I love coupons. It was for 2 FREE (my favorite 4-letter word) glasses of wine when you purchase the 4 course meal for two. They serve a warm loaf of rye bread and butter, even before we ordered. So we had crab cakes for our appetizer, they just melted in your mouth, . . . → Read More: OMG Dinner
By Tamera, on November 4th, 2007 OK so I am really TORKED now. Before I left Lafayette I was talking with a friend at work wondering what I should bet on for the Colts/Pats. We agreed that the spread was the safe bet. At that moment I had the thought of 4. So I get back from shopping and it’s the 3rd quarter. Looks like the game was going to be a 3 point spread but NO! ๐ should of, would of, could of.
By Tamera, on November 4th, 2007 I did it. I went shopping at the outlet mall. This one is actually a mall, however not everything in there is labled as an outlet. The first purchase SHOES!!! I got all the things that were on my list; black dress pants, kahki slacks, jeans, and a white tank top. We won’t talk about all the other purchases.
So if you want to command attention as you walk through the casino carry all of that^. Seriously you should see the looks I got. ๐
I just discovered I rushed home an hour early cause the phone had not taken the time change yet. ๐ Oh well . . . → Read More: 3:00 I have finished shopping
By Tamera, on November 4th, 2007 Ok it’s 9:15 am. I have posted pictures and updated the blog, responded to a few emails. I am sitting here at the table marginally paying attention to the TV. OMG FOX NFL Sunday pre-game just came on. Seriously I have on my pj’s and I have not had breakfast. How does one enjoy a day of football that starts so early? Do you invite your football friends over for “brunch”? How GAYE is that? But then I am thinking how great would it be that all the games are over by 9 pm instead of midnight? Excellent idea. I take back my first reactions and hereby vote AGAIN to . . . → Read More: Sunday NFL
